It has been announced that Joe Sellman-Leava’s one man show will tour the UK from the 12th January to 22nd March 2018.
Following the success of the multi award-winning Labels (Scotsman Fringe First 2015), writer and solo performer Joe Sellman-Leava blends together vastly different voices (including Mike Tyson, Patrick Stewart and Shakespeare!) into a new story. This is an epic one-man play where heroes clash with villains, men become monsters, and truth and fiction collide.
Written and performed by Joe Sellman-Leava, Monster is a dark and humorous examination of masculinity and gender, shedding light on our conceptions of gender, violence and aggression.
The show experiments with form including a play within a play, and a narrative split across multiple characters and timelines converging at the play’s climax. It also features the words and personas of known figures including Mike Tyson and Patrick Stewart.
Sellman-Leava has previously had success with Labels, which has been touring nationally and internationally since 2015 and won a Scotsman Fringe First.
The tour dates for Monster are as follows:
12th – 13th Jan Ustinov Studio, Bath, Theatre Royal Bath,
Sunday 14th Jan The Tolmen Centre, Falmouth,
24th – 28th Jan VAULT Festival, London
Thursday 8th Feb The Woodville, Gravesend,
