NEWS: New production Images Released for Dreamgirls

To celebrate the West End production now running in its second year at the Savoy Theatre and the recent cast change, new production images have been released for Dreamgirls.

Currently booking until the 2nd June 2018, Dreamgirls is celebrating its second year in the West End by releasing new production images of the musical featuring its new cast members.

The recent cast change in the production sees Marisha Wallace, Moya Angela and Karen Mav sharing the iconic role of Effie White throughout the week. They are joined by Brennyn Lark as Deena Jones and Asmeret Ghebremichael as Lorrell Robinson, making up the soulful trio ‘The Dreams’.

The cast also includes  Joe Aaron Reid as Curtis Taylor Jr, Tosh Wanogho-Maud as Jimmy Early, Durone Stokes as  C.C. White, Delroy Brown as Marty and Kimmy Edwards as Michelle Morris.

Meet The Dreams – Effie, Lorrell and Deena – three talented young singers in the turbulent 1960s, a revolutionary time in American music history. Join the three friends as they embark upon a musical rollercoaster ride through a world of fame, fortune and the ruthless realities of show business, testing their friendships to the very limit. The musical features classic  songs such as ‘One Night Only’ and ‘And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going’.

The production is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon, Disney’s Aladdin and Something Rotten!), with set design by Tim Hatley, costume design by Gregg Barnes, lighting design by Hugh Vanstone, sound design by Richard Brooker and hair design by Josh Marquette. Dreamgirls also features a book and lyrics by Tom Eyen and Music by Henry Krieger.
