Love your Mexican inspired drink then you might want to pay a visit to JuJu’s Bar and Stage…

Based in Brick Lane in  East London, JuJu’s Bar and Stage is an adaptable space which has played host to many different types of events including immersive theatre productions and film screenings. Now, it will be celebrating Summer with Mezcal.

Through tastings guided by London’s foremost Mezcal expert, Jon Anders Fjeldsrud, Mezcal-lovers and new-comers will be offered the chance to experience the world of Mezcal like never before. As well as guided workshops, the Mezcal menu will also offer a variety of new cocktails for visitors to sample including  Highball M&T and Highball Mezcal & Charteuse.

Suitable for groups of six or more, Juju’s Mezcal workshops explore why Mezcal is becoming so popular with people. Tickets for the workshops cost £20 per person with bookings available from the 4th May.

Meanwhile, for those looking to sample a drink or two, the cocktail menu’s extensive selection offers a range of mezcal cocktails including the Negroni made with Alipus Mezcal, Campari, vermouth and a dash of orange as well as the refreshing Tommys with Quiquiriqui Matatlan Mezcal, fresh lime and agave. Sitting alongside the new house favorite Highball M&T will be the Naked and Famous; made with Del Maguey Vida Mezcal, Aperol, Yellow Chartreuse and fresh lime.

Talking about the new venture Juju’s Director, Juliet says “The creativity of this menu comes from the talented team we have here at Juju’s. They’ve  put so much thought into every drink, from highlighting the best seasonal ingredients to the careful consideration of the history of Mezcal. We took great effort to preserve the classics while coming up with some superb cocktails that reflect modern flavor profiles and trends for our guests. All this combined, we feel like we’ve created a fresh evolution of Mezcal and I hope we introduce lots of our guests to their new favourite drink!”
