NEWS: Musical Adaptation of The Great Gatsby is Heading to Broadway

The recent New Jersey-based Paper Mill Playhouse  adaptation of the story will head to the Broadway Theatre from March.

It has been confirmed that the new musical adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald’s 1925 novel will begin performances at the Broadway Theatre from the 29th March, with official opening night set for the 25th April.

The musical features a book by  Kait Kerrigan (The Mad Ones), an original score by Tony Award nominees Jason Howland and Nathan Tysen (Paradise Square), and direction by Marc Bruni (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical).

Meanwhile, the cast is set to be led by Tony nominees Jeremy Jordan as Gatsby and Eva Noblezada as Daisy, reprising their roles from the Paper Mill Playhouse run with further casting yet to be announced.

Starring Jeremy Jordan (Newsies) as the eccentric and mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby and Eva Noblezada (Hadestown) as the enigmatic Daisy Buchanan, THE GREAT GATSBY arrives on Broadway after a record-shattering, sold-out run at Paper Mill Playhouse.

The creative team behind the musical is set to include: choreography by Dominique Kelley, scenic and projection design by Paul Tate dePoo III, costume design by Linda Cho, lighting design by Cory Pattak, sound design by Brian Ronan, hair and wig design by Charles G LaPointe and Rachael Geier, arrangements by Jason Howalnd, orchestrations by Howland and Kim Scharnberg, music direction by Daniel Edmonds, and music production by Billy Jay Stein for Strike Audio.
