NEWS: Cantonese Restaurant Mama Li to Open Second London Location

The new restaurant is set to open at 49 London Wall, Moorgate.

It has been announced that the Chinese eatery will open a second location in London on the 24th April, with an offer of 50% off all food until Tuesday April 30th.

The restaurant is known for its Cantonese roast meat dishes as well as its signature rice & meat combos prepared using Mama Li’s own recipes. It will be open Monday to Friday for city workers to enjoy.

This second location will be celebrating its launch with traditional Chinese Lion Dancers and will primarily operate as a ‘grab and go’ outlet but will also offer dine in and delivery options.

The business was conceived by Catherine Hua, Mama Li’s daughter, who wanted to share her mother’s recipes with London. It initially operated  as a ‘dark kitchen’ in Shoreditch, Mama Li’s meals were a hit with diners on online takeaway delivery platforms. This success enabled Catherine to open the first branch of Mama Li at Tower Hill.

Catherine said: “Since opening our first branch at Tower Hill, Mama Li has been embraced by the community with overwhelming enthusiasm.

“The success of our Tower Hill location has propelled us to expand our culinary offering across London.

“Our recipes, especially our renowned roast meats, are authentic Mama Li creations, meticulously crafted with the finest ingredients and all prepared in-house using time-honoured roasting methods.

“Every meal evokes the warmth and familiarity of home, reminiscent of our cherished childhood kitchen. It’s my heartfelt aspiration that our dishes can

offer the same comforting feel of a home-cooked meal.”
