NEWS: Casting Announced for Film Adaptation of The Thursday Murder Club

The news comes as it has also been confirmed that Netflix has picked up the film adaptation of Richard Osman’s book.

Casting has been announced for the Chris Columbus (Home AloneHarry Potter) directed film, based on the book by the House of Games and Pointless host released in 2020. The rights were acquired by Steven Spielberg in the same year, with his company Amblin Entertainment set to be releasing the film at a yet to be announced date.

Filming is set to begin in the next few months.

The plot follows a group of elderly friends who gather to solve murders for fun but soon find themselves in the middle of a real case.

Holly Bario, Jeb Brody and Eleanor Columbus are the executive producers, with Jennifer Todd as the producer.
