Take a look at some of the films that are being released this month in the UK….
Inside Out 2: released in cinemas on the 14th June, it is a welcome return to see central character Riley growing up and discovering new emotions as she becomes a teenager. As well as original characters Joy and Anger, we now get introduced to Anxiety and Embarrassment! This is certainly going to be one of the highly anticipated releases of the month ahead.
Freud’s Last Session: Matthew Goode and Anthony Hopkins lock intellectual heads as C.S Lewis and Sigmund Freud in what looks to be a compelling film about science vs faith. Having already been released in America, it finally comes to UK and Ireland cinemas on the 14th June.
I am: Celine Dion: heading to Prime Video from the 25th June, this new documentary explores Celine Dion’s career and her diagnosis of a rare autoimmune neurological disorder.
Kinds of Kindness: fans of Poor Things and The Favourite rejoice! The latest film from Yorgos Lanthimos is heading to cinemas from the 28th June. Formed of three stories, with the main cast taking on different characters, it is set to take audiences down quite a journey. It stars Jesse Plemons, Emma Stone, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau, Joe Alwyn, Mamoudou Athie and Hunter Schafer.
A Quiet Place: Day One: this new sci-fi film starring Lupita Nyong’o, is a spin-off prequel and the third instalment in the A Quiet Place film series. Released on the 28th June, expect plenty of action and survival techniques!
