The musical will run at the theatre from the 26th November until the 1st March 2025.
The Menier Chocolate Factory has announced a revival of Mel Brooks’ The Producers as part of its Autumn/Winter season, with official opening night set for the 9th December.
Based on the film of the same name, the show follows two not so great producers as they attempt to put on a Broadway show to earn them a fortune. The original Broadway production won twelve Tony Awards.
It features music & lyrics by Mel Brooks and book by Brooks and Thomas Meehan. This revival is set to be directed by Patrick Marber (Leopoldstadt) with full cast and creative team yet to be announced.
The original film was released in 1967, with a big screen adaptation of the musical being released in 2005 starring Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick – who both starred in the original Broadway production.
