The film is set to be released in cinemas in the UK & Ireland on the 10th January 2025.
A brand new trailer has been released for Pablo Larraín’s latest film, which focuses on the famous American-Greek opera singer Maria Callas as she retreats to Paris during her final days.
This latest film from the director is his third biopic to focus on a female personal;ity, following on from 2016 film Jackie ( Jacqueline Kennedy) and Princess Diana in 2021’s Spencer. Both previous films saw Natalie Portman and Kristen Stewart being nominated for Best Actress Oscars.
Written by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, the film had its premiere at this year’s Venice film festival. It has been produced by Larraín, Juan De Dios Larraín, Jonas Dornbach and Lorenzo Mieli.
As well as Angelina Jolie starring as Maria Callas, the cast also includes: Pierfrancesco Favino, Alba Rohrwacher, Valeria Golino, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Haluk Bilginer.
