Looking for a new film to watch this month? Here’s a few to look out for…
Twiggy: Sadie Frost has directed this new documentary film exploring the life and legacy of the famous model and how she has become the woman that she is today. Released in cinemas on the 7th March, it features contributions by Dustin Hoffman, Paul McCartney, Charlotte Tilbury and Joanna Lumley among others.
Giants of La Mencha: inspired by the classic novel “Don Quixote” by Miguel de Cervantes, the story follows that of 11-year-old Alfonso, heir of Don Quixote, and his 3 imaginary and musical rabbits join Pancho and Victoria, to save their beloved town of La Mancha from a huge storm. Released on the 7th March, the cast includes: Facundo Reyes, Marina Blanke, Julian Janssen.
Black Bag: for those looking for a thriller to watch, Steven Soderbergh’s spy drama will be one that you will want to add to your list. Out in cinemas on the 14th March, it follows the story of George Woodhouse and his wife Kathryn who is suspected of betraying the nation, leaving him questioning his loyalty to his marriage or his country. The cast for the film includes: Cate Blanchett, Michael Fassbender, Marisa Abela, Tom Burke, Naomie Harris, Regé-Jean Page and Pierce Brosnan.
Snow White: while Disney’s latest live action has had its hiccups along the way, it is finally coming out in cinemas on the 21st March. Starring Rachel Zegler in the central role, this live action re-make of Disney’s original classic animated film also stars Gal Gadot as the Evil Queen and is directed by Marc Webb.
Flow: the now Oscar winning film is receiving its UK release on the 21st March. It follows the adventures of a cat and his fellow animal companions in a post-apocalyptic world as the water level dramatically rises. Directed by Gints Zilbalodis, the film was written by and produced by Zilbalodis and Matīss Kaža.
La Cocina: released on on the 28th March, this film directed by Alonso Ruizpalacios and featuring performances from Rooney Mara and Raúl Briones is a loose reworking of Arnold Wesker’s 1957 play about the dynamics and tensions of a crowded kitchen in a busy New York restaurant.
