Review of the UK tour of The Talented Mr Ripley (New Victoria Theatre): early in October, we saw this stage adaptation of Patricia Highsmith’s novel. While there is plenty to admire in terms of the details of the production but the story needs to shine through a bit more.
Love + War, BFI London Film Festival: this wonderful documentary focusing on the world of Lynsey Addario as wife, mother and photo journalist is powerful from start to finish. It reminds us all of the importance of photography journalists who put themselves consistently in danger to ensure the stories of war and conflict are not forgotten – but also the personal impact it has on their families.
