The restaurant is London’s only Senegalese restaurant and is based in the Africa Centre.

Little Baobab has launched its new seasonal menu for guests to enjoy on their visit to the restaurant.
Bringing people together through food and music, the venue celebrates the flavours of Senegal in London with either a set dinner menu or casual lunch offering, and regular live music events.
Led by Founder and Chef Khadim, Little Baobab has been recognised by the industry including winning the African Food Award at the Be Inclusive Hospitality Awards in October 2025, acknowledging its contribution to diversity and excellence within the UK hospitality sector.
The evening menu centres on a regularly changing set menu, priced at £47 per person. Beginning with a selection of small plates, guests can enjoy ncluding fried Plantain with bissap salt; Bread with tamarind butter; Ndambe Teranga bites, a snack-sized take on Senegal’s beloved black-eyed pea stew; and Thiou Boulette, comforting fishballs in a rich tomato sauce. Starters follow with Chicken Dibi, grilled chicken served with a chilli mustard dipping sauce, alongside Suya Tofu with Roast Vegetables, a plant-based twist on the classic street food.
Meanwhile, for the main course there are three traditional dishes to choose from, such as Lamb Mafe, lamb chops in a deeply flavoured peanut sauce, served with fried cassava puree, grilled carrots, and rice; Soupou Kandja, an okra and palm oil stew with tiger prawns, accompanied by rice; and Veg Thieb, layered cassava, aubergine, and carrot slice served with jollof rice and bissap.
The restaurant’s lunchtime offerings include: Chicken Yassa Burger, made with boneless marinated chicken, onions caramelised with lime and plantain on a soft bun; Thiebou Yapp, lamb and jollof rice served with onion sauce; Vegetarian Mafe, a vegetable and peanut butter stew served with rice. Also available at lunch are a selection of snacks and desserts, such as sweet potato and quinoa fritters, fataya pastries, and traditional beignets with chocolate sauce.
Alongside the food, the restaurant also hosts live music events, providing event catering and festival activations, running a music agency, and offering an online store featuring Chef Khadim’s cookbook and the restaurant’s popular chilli sauce.
