Love London Love Culture’s Film Picks: March 2026

This Icelandic film that follows the story of a family as they go through a painful separation is set to be released in UK cinemas on the 13th March. Having been selected to be showcased as part of several film festivals, it seems that this fourth feature by Hlynur Pálmason has captured audience’s attention already.

Also set for release on the 13th March, Glen Powell stars in this new film as Becket, who was disowned at birth by his rich family and now he will stop at nothing to reclaim what is his. Directed by John Patton Ford, the film also stars Margaret Qualley, Jessica Henwick, Bill Camp, Zach Woods, Topher Grace and Ed Harris.

It does have to be said that Jessie Buckley is certainly on a roll when it comes picking interesting parts and this is a trend that continues in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s (Academy Award-nominated writer/director of The Lost Daughter) new film that explores the story of the bride of Frankenstein. Set for release on the 6th March, the film also stars Christian Bale, Annette Bening, Penélope Cruz and Jake Gyllenhaal.

Taking the hit BBC series a step further, this film adaptation is set for a limited cinema release on the 6th March, before heading to Netflix later in March. As well as Cillian Murphy as Tommy Shelby, the film will see a whole host of new characters brought to life by the likes of Rebecca Ferguson, Stephen Graham and Barry Keoghan for example. Definitely one of the most anticipated films of the year!

For those looking for something a little more family friendly, Pixar is releasing their latest film which looks like an absolute hoot! The story follows that of animal lover Mabel, whose mind is is transferred into a lifelike robotic beaver to help save the environment from destruction. Set for release on the 6th of March, the film promises plenty of laughs along the way.

Based on Enid Blyton’s book series of the same name, The Magic Faraway Tree is set to be released on the 27th March. Judging by the trailer it is set to be a fun-filled adventure for the whole family. The cast includes Claire Foy and Andrew Garfield.
