It has been announced that a new circus adaptation of Alice in Wonderland will make its European premiere at the Royal Festival Hall this December.

The show will feature characters Lewis Carroll’s adventure story in a two hour performance which is suitable for all ages.

With on stage seating available, Cirque Alice previously enjoyed sell-out seasons in Australia and Singapore.

Talking about the news, Painter said: “The tales of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland provide the perfect backdrop to create a magical narrative about a cirque show. Filled with some of the most eccentric and larger-than-life characters and creations, the original stories have provided such amazing inspiration for this groundbreaking new production.”

Cirque Alice features aerialists and acrobats, contortionists, puppetry, and musical acts accompanied by a soundtrack of newly arranged remixes of classical favourites.

Meanwhile the creative team includes: creative directors Ash Jacks McCready and Kirsty Painter, with choreography by Dane Bates, costumes by Angela Aaron, lighting by Hugo Mercier and musical arrangements by Martin Raabe-Olsen and Marius Christiansen.
