Lionsgate UK has released the trailer and poster for The Debut, a new musical comedy film written and directed by Oscar® nominee and BAFTA winner Jesse Eisenberg.
The cast for the film includes: Julianne Moore, Paul Giamatti, Halle Bailey, Havana Rose Liu, Colton Ryan, Lilli Cooper, Maulik Pancholy, and Bernadette Peters.
The Debut tells the story of a shy woman who is unexpectedly cast in a local production of an original musical. Under the spell of the strong-willed and enigmatic director, she loses herself in the role and the high-stakes world of this community theatre production.
This new musical comedy features original songs written by Eisenberg with music supervisor Steven Gizicki (A Complete Unknown) and executive music producer Bill Sherman (In The Heights), with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler (Hamilton), and cinematography by Drew Daniels (Anora).
