The film, featuring the characters from the original BBC series, is set to be released in cinemas on the 23rd October.
A new trailer and poster has now been released for the upcoming film, Ghosts: The Possession of Button House, which will be released next month.
The film, directed by Simon Hynd, will see all the cast from the original BBC tv series reunite for a big screen adventure. This includes: Mathew Baynton, Simon Farnaby, Martha Howe-Douglas, Jim Howick, Laurence Rickard and Ben Willbond, Lolly Adefope, Charlotte Ritchie and Kiell Smith-Bynoe.
From the trailer, a bunch of teenager break into Button House to carry out a séance – however, things go slightly awry as one of the teenagers in question finds themselves possessed by the trouser free Julian, with the teenager stuck in Julian’s ghostly body, while Julian threatens to run havoc and back in to Alison and Mike’s lives. Soon the race is on to return everybody to their correct bodies before it is too late.
Produced by Monumental Television, GHOSTS ran for five series on BBC One, with the final episode watched by 7.2 million viewers. It was the most-watched comedy series of 2023 in the UK.
