The trail will return from the 26th November until the 1st January.

It has been confirmed that Light Up Trails returns to Sir Harold Hillier Gardens this festive season, with this year’s trail titled Radiance, with beautiful new installations and the return of some fan favourites in 11 newly imagined zones, promises to be its most audacious yet.
“It’s a real source of joy to be looking forward to this year’s trail – whether our visitors are coming for the first time or returning as part of their festive tradition, we can’t wait for them to see it glow,” says creative director Libby Battaglia.
“The excitement is building with lots of families booking to make sure they can visit at their preferred date and time and our special Super Peak nights are filling up fast.”
Light Up Trails This Christmas at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens also works with local artists, suppliers and organisations has been at the heart of its ethos from the beginning and this year it helped sponsor Duality: Listen To Light, a ground breaking new programme created by the University of Southampton’s School of Photonics using music and physics to explore the quantum nature of light and shown at the British Science Festival.
This year, as well as the Photonics team’s lantern making workshop for children, Light Up Trails will play host to the radiant Photonics Fairy, bringing the world of light to life on Super Peak nights.
Innovative design company Double Take Projections have returned to create Kingdom of Snow in collaboration with Light Up Trails’ in-house production and lighting designer James Smith. A multi-sensory experience, it takes projection onto the living, moving canvas of the trees themselves as imagery, orchestral music, light and swirling snow come together to create an immersive world designed to stir the senses and emotions.
