Here’s a guide to some of the ways to celebrate Halloween this year…

No Escape Rooms – Halloween edition:
From haunted toys and murderous dentists to demonic forces and a Cold War nuclear threat, No Escape’s nine horror-led escape rooms across four London venues will celebrate Halloween in style.
Each of No Escape’s rooms is built around its own horror or thriller storyline. Across Victoria, Oxford Street, Aldgate and Holloway, players can find themselves facing demonic forces, sinister barbers, haunted toys, serial killers, butchers, witches and other figures best avoided after dark. Especially for Halloween, each venue will also feature live actors, bringing its darkest characters out of the shadows and terrifyingly close to players.
The nine experiences across the four venues are:
- Victoria: The Gates of Hell at Purgatory Bar
- Oxford Street: The Dentist and The Demon Barber
- Aldgate: The Haunted Toy Store, The Butcher, The Orphanage and The Witch’s Curse
- Holloway: The Killer and The Darkest Hour

Pay a visit to watch Stranger Things: The First Shadow at the Phoenix Theatre:
Before it closes, why not enjoy this prequel film to the hit Netflix series. Come for the story and stay for the incredible visual effects is all we have to say….certainly a spine chilling experience!

Enjoy Halloween courtesy of the Paradox Museum:
There is plenty to do when it comes to celebrating Halloween at the Paradox Museum. The Halloween trail (paid add) on invites visitors to follow hidden clues to find six hidden letters required to break a spell.
Meanwhile, interactive storytelling will also take place every 15 minutes for guests.
Then, exclusively on selected October half-term dates, the Paradox Potion Lab will open its doors. Led by the Potion Master, guests will step into a witch’s laboratory where every ingredient has a magical name and every reaction looks like a spell coming to life. Behind the theatre, children will explore genuine scientific concepts including density, chemical
reactions, gas production and states of matter. The Potion Lab will run throughout the day from 10:30am–4:30pm on 23rd–25th October, 30th–31st October, and 1st November.

Take a trip to Hadestown (in the West End):
Take a trip to the underworld courtesy of this popular West End musical that has darkness seeped throughout – as the story of Hades, Persephone, Orpheus and Eurudice comes to a head. Not a typical show to think of when it comes to Halloween but delightfully appropriate…

Brunel Museum’s Darker Side of Rotherhithe Ghost Tour :
This special lantern lit stroll around historic Rotherhithe, exploring its dark and grisly past will take place on the 31st October. Not for the faint of heart, those attending expect gruesome tales, a graveyard, a mortuary and a gibbet, all in close proximity to the dark and dangerous River Thames.
