This is one of the most hugely anticipated world tours to take place in 2016. Following her huge success at the Brit Awards, Adele heads back to the stage on the first leg of her world tour.

The Guardian: **** Alexis Petridis wrote: “Adele seems utterly in control from the minute she appears.”

The Telegraph: ***** Bernadette McNulty thought that: “Adele kept it remarkably and effectively simple, letting nothing get in the way of what was almost a religious communion with her fans.”

New York Times: Jon Pareles said: “When she sings, Adele is larger than life. She knows how to write songs that say what fans have felt, while her voice climbs from tremulous introspection to overwhelming need, heartache and rage.”

Belfast Telegraph:**** Amanda Ferguson commented that: “Adele is fun, charismatic and exceptionally talented. A class act.”

The Independent: *** Nick  Hasted was slightly less enthusiastic saying: “She tries soul moves over gospel piano, but owes more to Shirley Bassey then Aretha.”

BBC: Mark Savage thought that the concert was: “a simple, stripped-back stage show.”

The Sun: “This was as polished and perfect as pop concerts come.”

Blouin Art Info: Mark Beech wrote: “t’s a fair guess that you don’t come to an Adele concert for a guitar solos when her strongest card is her music and especially her voice – and there is plenty of that to fill any arena for a couple of hours.”

Overall verdict: It definitely sounds as though fans will not be disappointed and have plenty to enjoy on Adele’s first arena tour.
