NEWS: First Trailer for Wicked: For Good Released

A first trailer has now been released for the upcoming and highly anticipated Wicked: For Good the second film telling the story of Elphaba and Glinda’s unlikely friendship – particularly now that they are on opposite sides.

Set to arrive in cinemas on the 21st November, a year after the first film was released, the film is once again set to see Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo reprising their roles as Glinda and Elphaba respectively. The trailer teases hints of how the story evolves – including glimpses of Dorothy and her companions on the way to the Emerald City.

Directed by Jon M Chu, the film also sees the return of  Jonathan Bailey as Fiyero, Michelle Yeoh as Madame Morrible and Jeff Goldblum as the Wizard of Oz. The actress set to play Dorothy has yet to be confirmed.

The first film grossed  US$755m worldwide on a US$150m budget and has become the highest grossing musical film adaptation made to date – even receiving 10 nominations at the Oscars, winning two for Best Costume Design for Paul Tazewell and Best Production Design for Lee Sandeles and Nathan Crowley.
