The film is set to be released on the 19th December.
Disney has now released a trailer for the third instalment of James Cameron’s Avatar film series set to be released in cinemas later this year.
Titled Fire and Ash, the new film is set to reveal that trouble is brewing on Pandora. While there is still a threat posed by human / Na’vi recombinants, the trailer highlights that the real threat will come from Varang, leader of the Ash People. Varang has the ability to manipulate fire with her hands so can Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), Neytiri (Zoe Saldaña) and their family overcome this latest threat?
This is the latest film in the series, following on from 2022’s The Way of Water. The fourth part is set to be released in 2029 and the fifth part in 2031.
Fire and Ash features a story by James Cameron, Rick Jaffa, Amanda Silver, Josh Friedman and Shane Salerno.
The film stars: Sigourney Weaver, Stephen Lang, Cliff Curtis, Britain Dalton, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss, Jack Champion, Bailey Bass, Kate Winslet, Joel David Moore, CCH Pounder, Giovanni Ribisi, Dileep Rao, Matt Gerald, Edie Falco, Brendan Cowell, Jemaine Clement, Filip Geljo and Duane Evans, Jr. reprise their roles from previous films, while Oona Chaplin and David Thewlis portray new characters.
Ash and Fire features cinematography by Russell Carpenter and music by Simon Franglen.
