The new film from Daniel Roher is set for release this spring.
An official trailer has now been released for ‘Tuner’, the latest film from Oscar-winning filmmaker Daniel Roher. Roher’s latest film follows on from his documentaries Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and the Band, which opened TIFF a couple of years ago, and 2022’s acclaimed Navalny.
The cast includes Leo Woodall, who stars as a young piano tuner who has heightened sense of hearing. One day he catches the attention of a criminal gang who see his talents as a useful way to help open up safes as well as tuning pianos. But as he gets deeper involved with the gang’s activities, it threatens his growing relationship with composition student Ruthie as well as placing himself in increasing danger.
Joining Woodall in the cast is Academy Award winner Dustin Hoffman, Havana Rose Liu, Tony Award-winner Tovah Feldshuh, Lior Raz, and Jean Reno.
The film premiered at Telluride Film Festival in September, before also playing as the Surprise Film at last year’s BFI London Film Festival.
