Disney has released the first trailer for its ypcoming latest animated film ‘Hexed’, marking the company’s 65th animated feature.
This coming-of-age story has been directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand. It follows the story of Billie, a teenage girl voiced by Hailee Steinfeld, who discovers she has magical powers and finds herself transported to the world of Hexe.
Also joining the voice cast are seven-time Emmy winner Tracey Ullman who will voice Ms. Quill, an enchanted feather quill pen, while Stephen Fry will play Elias Quire, a magical journal. They join the previously announced Steinfeld and Rashida Jones, who voices Billie’s mother, Alice.
Talking about the film and the central character, director Veerasunthorn said: “A wonderfully strange phenomenon is happening all around Billie, something she can’t explain. She’s someone who has felt miscast in her own life, and it takes leaving her normal world behind and entering a hidden world of wild, unhinged magic to begin to understand herself.”
